Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Danhong Injection on serum sICAM- 1 and hs- CRP in patients with unstable angina pectoris (UA). Methods 96 cases with UA were divided into Danhong group (n=49) and control group (n=47). Both groups were treated with conventional western medicine, while Danhong group were additional y treated with intravenous Danhong injection. Clinical efficacy, serum lipid levels and inflammation factors were compared between the two groups. Results The total efficiency was significantly higher in Danhong group (91.84%) than in control group ( 78.72%) (P<0.05). Cholesterol,triglyceride, Low- density lipoprotein cholesterol and high- density lipoprotein cholesterol increased significantly (P<0.05), hs- CRP and sICAM- 1 levels decreased after treatment in both groups. Al these changes were more significant in Danhong group than in control group (al P<0.05). Conclusion Danhong injection is beneficial to improve lipid metabolism, inflammatory reaction and clinical symptoms in patients with UA.
