Abstract Objective To investigate the association between rs4977574 polymorphism and coronary artery disease (CAD).Methods 289 cases with CAD confirmed by angiography (CAD group) and 338 subjects with normal coronary artery (control group) were enrol ed.Genotyping was performed by real- time PCR and compared between the two groups.Results The genotype distribution of rs4977574 polymorphism differed significantly between CAD group and control group (P<0.05).CC type was fewer in CAD group than in control group.Logistic regression analysis showed that CC type reduced CAD risk (OR=0.71,95%Cl0.56~0.99,P<0.05).Conclusion There is an association between rs4977574 polymorphism and CAD.The population with C allele likely have a lower risk of CAD.
