Abstract Objective To explore relationship between QRS duration and left ventricular mass (LVM) in patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction and complete left bundle branch block (CLBBB). Methods 57 cases with CLBBB were divided into two groups based on QRS duration ≤or > 160ms. LVM was calculated on an echocardiogram and compared between the two groups. Results LVM in two groups was (220.68 ± 87.26)g and (322.46 ± 92.69)g,respectively. There was significant difference between them(P < 0.01). QRS duration was significantly correlated with LVM (r=0.28,P < 0.05). Conclusion Prolongation of QRS duration may reflect LVM increasing in patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction and CLBBB.
