Abstract Objective To observe the changes of Tp- Te interval and Tp- Te/Q- T after chemical ablation in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). Methods 13 patients (3 male, 10 female) with HOCM underwent percutaneous alcohol septal ablation. Echocardiography and electrocardiogram were performed before and after ablation Results Interventricular septum thickness and left ventricular mass index were significantly decreased from 20.77 ± 2.39mm and 208.79 ±72.76g/m2 before to 18.08 ±2.02mm and 186.56 ±58.30g/m2 after ablation, respectively (al P<0.05). Tp- Te interval, Tp- Te/Q- T and Tp- Te/Q- Tc decreased significantly from 136.15±7.12ms, 0.32±0.03 and 0.30± 0.03 before procedure to 129.23±9.76ms, 0.29±0.03 and 0.27±0.02 at 24h, to 128.08±10.11ms, 0.29±0.03 and 0.27± 0.03 3 to 5 days after procedure, respectively (al P<0.05 ) . Conclusion Tp- Te interval, Tp- Te/Q- T and Tp- Te/Q- Tc reduce significantly soon after septal ablation in HOCM.
