Abstract Objective To investigate safety and efficacy of renal sympathetic denervation in patients with systolic heart failure. Methods 4 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and chronic systolic heart failure underwent bilateral re-nal denervation. Heart function was evaluated during 7~9 months' fol ow-up. Results There was no significant change of blood pressure, heart rate, blood routine examination, liver and renal function, left ventricular end-diastolic and end-systolic dimension, and left atrium size. The left ventricle ejection fraction increased and six-minute walk distance improved obviously. Conclusion Heart function of patients with chronic systolic heart failure may improved after renal sympathetic denervation without serious complication.
