Abstract Objective To evaluate the feasibility of EuroQOl (EQ-5D)in the assessment of quality of life in patients with permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation. Methods 109 cases of patients were investigated by EQ-5D ques-tionnaire at 6 months after cardiac pacemaker implantation. Results The correlation coefficients of the two measure-ments of mobility, self-care, usual activities, pain or discomfort, anxiety or depression and VAS scores were 0.769, 0.784, 0.924, 0.823, 0.835 and 0.841, respectively. The Cronbach alpha coefficients of five items of EQ-5D were 0.731, 0.766, 0.739, 0.730 and 0.756,respectively. The content validity was 0.943. Conclusion EQ-5D questionnaire is feasible for assessment of quality of life in patients with cardiac pacemaker implantation.
